The decision, announced in letters dated April 22, 2025, and signed by NLC Deputy General Secretary Ismail Bello, directs affiliated unions in both states to hold Workers’ Day events on May 1, 2025, at their respective secretariats. In Rivers State, the NLC condemned the appointment of a sole administrator under emergency rule, calling for the restoration of elected governance.
