 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. 2 POLICEMEN DEAD IN FESTAC AFTER BEING MOBBED BY OKADA MEN.

               A sergent ans an inspector,called Bashiru were attacked when they attempted to seize some motorcycles at Aso Rock in Festac town lagos.The police officers raided the place located at 7th Avenue,72 road at about 1.30am to seize commercial motorcycles parked inside the compound by owners who reside there.The four officers who went on the operation on tuesday were overpowered and disarmed.While two of them were clubbed to death,the other two escaped.After the mob action,accupants of the large compound fled.An eye witness said the men came in a police van and forced themselves into the compound and started carting motorcycles into the van at the time of the night.When efforts by the residents to stop the policemen failed,they decided to attack the officers.No one knows if the operation is illegal or not.Police later came to carry the dead bodies of the two police.
