 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity. A FAKE POLICEMAN,ARRESTED WITH MARIJUANA IN KADUNA.

Ugochukwu Adegoke                                                        36 year old Ugochukwu Adegoke,who have been posing as a Assistant Superintendent of Police was arrested with over 100kg of marijuana by Kaduna state police command.He was arrested and paraded by the police yesterday wednesday when he confessed he was riding commercial motor cycle as means of livelihood until commercial motorcyclists were restricted to plying a few roads in Lagos in 2012.He said ''I left Lagos to Ondo in search of another job but couldn't get.So i was forced to pick the police uniform of my late brother to impersonate a police officer''.Adegoke is an indigene of Delta and Ondo state and a father of three children,wears the police uniform of his late brother Ayodele Adegoke an ASP to operate his illicit marijuana business before he was nabbed by the police while on his way to deliver to some clients in Zaria.Na wa ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
