TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. 36 year old Ugochukwu Adegoke,who have been posing as a Assistant Superintendent of Police was arrested with over 100kg of marijuana by Kaduna state police command.He was arrested and paraded by the police yesterday wednesday when he confessed he was riding commercial motor cycle as means of livelihood until commercial motorcyclists were restricted to plying a few roads in Lagos in 2012.He said ''I left Lagos to Ondo in search of another job but couldn't get.So i was forced to pick the police uniform of my late brother to impersonate a police officer''.Adegoke is an indigene of Delta and Ondo state and a father of three children,wears the police uniform of his late brother Ayodele Adegoke an ASP to operate his illicit marijuana business before he was nabbed by the police while on his way to deliver to some clients in Zaria.Na wa ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
