 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. POLICE IN PAKISTAN,ARRESTED AL-QAEDA COMMANDER IN KARACHI.

                According to the Pakistan authorities,Al-Qaeda commander,was arrested by the Pakisran police.Shahid Usman and four other suspects were arrested in the Southern city of Karachi late on thursday.The Commander is heading a new wing of Al-Qaeda,newly created in South Asian.The police seized weapons and 10kg {22lb} of explosives.A senior officer at the police counter terrorism unit said Usman was in his mid 30's,lived in Defence,a wealthy neighbourhood,and owned a car parts dealership business in one of the city's most expensive commercial areas,unlike the usual militant profile.Usman comes from an affluent background.
