 FEDERAL MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND NATIONAL ORIENTATION  PRESS STATEMENT  BINANCE FALSE CLAIM ON BRIBERY DIVERSIONARY  The Federal Government of Nigeria is aware of attempts by Binance to launder its impaired image as an organisation that does not play by the rules and laws guiding business conduct in sovereign nations. In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance. It is nothing but a diversionary tactic and an attempted act of blackmail by a company desperate to obfuscate the grievous criminal charges it is facing in Nigeria. KING OF SAUDI ARABIA ABDULLAH,DIED TODAY MORNING.

              According to sources,the King of Saudi Arabia,late King Abdullah,died today friday morning at the age of 90,and sources said,he will be buried in an unmarked grave today.Hours after his death,there was a move to ensure a smooth transition by appointing a new King and crown a Prince that to quell fears of dynastic instability at a time of regional turmoil.Abdullah's successor is King Salman,and King Salman will now take over as the ultimate authority in a country that faces unprecedented challenges in the region/difficult long term domestic challenges,compounded by the plunging price of oil.Jamal Khashoggi,the Head of a News Channel owned by a Saudi Price,said ''I think Salman will continue with Abdullah's reforms.He realizes the importance of this.He's not conservative in person,but he values the opinion of the conservative constituency of the country''.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
