 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. KING OF SAUDI ARABIA ABDULLAH,DIED TODAY MORNING.

              According to sources,the King of Saudi Arabia,late King Abdullah,died today friday morning at the age of 90,and sources said,he will be buried in an unmarked grave today.Hours after his death,there was a move to ensure a smooth transition by appointing a new King and crown a Prince that to quell fears of dynastic instability at a time of regional turmoil.Abdullah's successor is King Salman,and King Salman will now take over as the ultimate authority in a country that faces unprecedented challenges in the region/difficult long term domestic challenges,compounded by the plunging price of oil.Jamal Khashoggi,the Head of a News Channel owned by a Saudi Price,said ''I think Salman will continue with Abdullah's reforms.He realizes the importance of this.He's not conservative in person,but he values the opinion of the conservative constituency of the country''.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
