 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.                According to my correspondence,a 10 year old girl,entered Maiduguri poutry market and blewup herself.The bomb blast took place about 12:40pm today when the market is packed with sellers and buyers.The 10 year old girl body was completely shattered because of the high calibre of explosive she strapped to her body.This is just a pity,i wonder when all these bombing will stop in Nigeria.
