 ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST SUSPECT OVER SUSPECTED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARM, RECOVER PUMP-ACTION GUN AND 11 LIVE CARTRIDGES IN NNEWI The Anambra State Police Command has arrested one Okechukwu Igwegbe over suspected unlawful possession of a firearm and recovered one pump-action gun and eleven live cartridges at Uruagu, Nnewi, in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The suspect was arrested on 18th September 2026 by operatives of the Command’s Tactical Team, led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Ezekiel Imoh, psc (+), following credible intelligence. During the operation, the operatives recovered from the suspect one pump-action firearm and eleven live cartridges. The recovered firearm and ammunition have been secured as exhibits and are being subjected to further investigation.                According to my correspondence,a 10 year old girl,entered Maiduguri poutry market and blewup herself.The bomb blast took place about 12:40pm today when the market is packed with sellers and buyers.The 10 year old girl body was completely shattered because of the high calibre of explosive she strapped to her body.This is just a pity,i wonder when all these bombing will stop in Nigeria.
