TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. In a press release today tuesday by Femi Falana,he said the Oba's diversionary threat to the Igbo's is totally unacceptable as it is a mockery of the political objective of national integraion.''It is illegal as it clearly offends section 42 of the Costitution which has prohibited discrimination on grounds of ethnicity,religion,politica, opinion,creed or sex.The Oba lacks the power to cause anyone to die in the Lagoon within seven days,the threat constitutes a violation of the fundamental right of thousands of citizens to life.I urge the Oba to apologise without delay''.Well i know the Oba is campaigning hard for Ambode but most igbo's found the word jumping into the lagoon very offensive if they don't support Ambode.Even if the Eze Ndigbo's have agreed with him to support Ambode,Oba Akiolu would not have generalized it to all Igbos,because not all Igbos want to support Ambode,and each Igbo man or woman,have the right to vote for who ever they want to vote for because it is their constitutional right.
