 ABUJA EARTH TREMOR: MINISTER DELE ALAKE CALLS FOR CALM, DIRECTS AGENCY TO REPORT UPDATES The minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake has directed the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency to provide hourly updates of the seismic developments around Abuja to him for regular review and possible escalation to other relevant agencies, Urging residents of the Federal Capital to go about their normal routine without anxiety. In a statement by the Special Assistant on Media, Lara Owoeye-Wise, the minister assures that proactive measures have been deployed to ensure the safety of residents and property. The minor earth tremor was noticed on Tuesday, August 4th at 11am in the Federal Capital Territory by the Nigerian Geological survey Agency.

                       esterday frida,there was a mid drama at the Nnadi Azikiwe International Aiport,Abuja on friday,as the minister of petroleum resources,Mrs Diezani Alison Madueke,ran to catch up with the president elect,Muhammadu Buhari.Both Buhari and the minister yesterday friday morning travelled out of the country to London on the same flight.One source said that both boarded a British Airways flight that left the airport at about 4:30am on its way to Heathrow Airport,London.Sources who witnessed the drama said the petroleum minister left behind her aides while running to catch up with Bhari.''Bhari was at the frount and had already passed the screening team.And immediate; Diezani came down,it was as if they told her that President elect was already inside the aircraft,so she started running.She even left her people behind so that she could board the flights along with the president elect''.According to another source,the president elect only greeted Alison Madueke during the boarding process.The Minster allegedly tried many times to stir a conversation with Buhari,but Buhari shunned her.In a statement published by Buhari's media team Malam Garba Shehu on friday Abuja states that ''General  Muhammadu Buhari will use the opportunity of the visit to take a much deserved vest ahead of his inauguration on May 29''.
