 "Worth It" — Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatally Shooting 11-Month-Old Son to Keep Him From Father Madeline Veronique Daly, 36, pleaded guilty this week in Silver City, New Mexico, to first-degree murder in the December 23, 2025 killing of her 11-month-old son, Basil Stoner. Grant County deputies had tracked her to an RV off Highway 15 on a Wyoming kidnapping warrant after she took the baby during a custody dispute with his father, Jake Stoner. While officers waited for a warrant and tried to negotiate, Daly put a 9mm handgun to the boy’s face and fired. According to the criminal complaint, Daly told investigators her thought when she saw law enforcement approach was: “Jake can’t get Basil.” After her arrest she said it was “worth it” if Basil’s father and his family never got him.                     The All Progressive Congress {APC} has described the appointment as totally unacceptable and the highest level of indiscipline and treachery,the conduct of today tuesday's inauguration of the National Assembly that led to the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon Yakubu Dogara as Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representative respectively.In a statement issued in Abuja today tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary,Alhaji Lai Mohammed said ''The party is supreme and its interest is suprerior to that of it's individual members.Consequently,the APC leadership is meeting in a bid to re-establish discipline in the party and to meet out the necessary sanctions to all those involved in what is nothing but a monumental act of indiscipline and betrayal to subject the party to ridicle and create obstacle's for the new administration.There cam be no higher level of treachery,disloyalty and insincerity within any party''.Meanwhile,the APC has asked all its loyal senators elect to please report to the senate to be Sworn in,in order to discharge their constitutional duties.
