 Up at dawn for front-row seat to history at Francis’s funeral Many had woken up at dawn while others slept in their cars before Catholic faithful poured into St Peter’s Square from all corners of the globe on Saturday, fuelled by a desire to honour Pope Francis. As the first rays of the day rose over the sprawling Baroque plaza, mourners rushed towards empty chairs once they had passed through metal detectors, anxious for a front-row seat to history. Among them was Jean-Baptiste Leclezio, a 22-year-old from Lyon, who slept on the ground overnight at the seat of the Catholic Church to be among the first to enter for the funeral of Francis, who died on Monday age 88. “We took floor mats and sleeping bags and we slept there with 400 people, a lot of young people, scouts,” he told AFP. “There were people singing all night but we managed to sleep,” he said. SENATOR BURUJI KASHAMU,HURRIEDLY CAME DOWN FROM A PLANE TODAY WITH HIS LAWYERS,FOR FEAR OF BEING ARRESTED.

                  Today wednesday,Prince Buruji Kashamu,the Ogun east Senator,who was wanted in the United States,was billed to travel to Abuja from Lagos today,after he failed to commit the office of the Attorney General of the Federation and the NDLEA for criminal contempt over extradiction moves to the USA.He had sat in the Business class of Aero Flight 127,Abuja bound,along with his lawyers when the captain announced a minor problem with the plane.The captain said the light of an indicator had not come on brightly enough and that the Aero engineers are fixing the problem.To keep the passengers at ease,the captain gave them the assurance that the problem was nothing to worry about and that the resolution of the problem will not take three minutes.No sooner the captain finished talking,Kashamu signaled his lawyers,asking them to to alight from the plane.Other passengers who had calmly listened to captain Kunle's explanation remained glued to their seats and burst out laughing when Buruji and his lawyers hurriedly alighted from the plane.Though sources said the Aero flight 127,which left Lagos,landed in Abuja without incidents.
