 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. A 2 YEAR OLD GIRL DEAD,15 HOUSES BURNT DURING A FIRE OUTBREAK YESTERDAY IN BAYELSA STATE.

               Yesterday saturday,a two year old baby girl died in a fire outbreak which rendered many people homeless today sunday in a suburb area of Ovom Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.NAN correspondent who visited the scene learnt that the fire,which destroyed no fewer than 15 houses in the area,started at about 8pm yesterday saturday.The incident occured opposite the Law Faculty of the Niger Delta University {NDU}popularly known as BGS in the area.The fire which damaged millions of naira worth of properties where said by eyewitnesses to be caused by candle light.The 2 year old girl that died,her mother locked her up in the house while she was selling in their shop because the girl was sleeping before the fire started.Eyewitnesses said ''Right now,the parents of the 2 year old girl are yet to be found''.
