McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. A 2 YEAR OLD GIRL DEAD,15 HOUSES BURNT DURING A FIRE OUTBREAK YESTERDAY IN BAYELSA STATE.

               Yesterday saturday,a two year old baby girl died in a fire outbreak which rendered many people homeless today sunday in a suburb area of Ovom Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.NAN correspondent who visited the scene learnt that the fire,which destroyed no fewer than 15 houses in the area,started at about 8pm yesterday saturday.The incident occured opposite the Law Faculty of the Niger Delta University {NDU}popularly known as BGS in the area.The fire which damaged millions of naira worth of properties where said by eyewitnesses to be caused by candle light.The 2 year old girl that died,her mother locked her up in the house while she was selling in their shop because the girl was sleeping before the fire started.Eyewitnesses said ''Right now,the parents of the 2 year old girl are yet to be found''.
