 Tragedy has struck in Fleurhof, where a pregnant woman and her mother were found shot dead in an open field. The two had been walking from Dobsonville to Fleurhof but never reached their destination, falling victim to unknown gunmen.  The motive behind the brutal killing is still unclear, and authorities are investigating the incident.

                  Serena Williams has claimed her 6th Wimbledon open title after beating 20th seed,Garbine Muguruza 6-4,in the women's final today saturday.Serena Williams holds all four Grand Slam for the second time in her career and she is just one Grand Slam away from matching Stefi Graf's open era record of 22 Grand Slams.She won her first Wimbledon title in 2002 and went on to win in 2003,2009,2010 and 2012.Congrats Serena.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
