  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. NIGERIA SECURITY CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS,ARRESTED A MAN TODAY FOR STEALING A RAM IN JIGAWA STATE.

                    Today saturday in Jigawa state,the Nigerian Security Civil Defence Corps {NSCDC,said they arrested a 25 year old man for allegedly stealing a ram.Commandant of {NSCDC} in Jigawa state Mr Muhammad Gidado,told NAN in Dutse,that the suspect was arresyed in Yalwawa Quuarters by members of the community.According to the commandant,the ram belonged to one Malam Alasan Dogo and that the suspect was nabbed red handed while dragging the ram away.He said further that ''The suspect has confessed to committing the offence and will soon be charged to court''.
