 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   President Tinubu Reconstitutes the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), following the Senate's confirmation of its members on December 16.   Members of the reconstituted Board are:   • Mulisiu Olalekan Oseni, PhD. — Chairman   Dr Oseni started his service as a Commissioner in January 2017. He was subsequently appointed Vice Chairman of the Commission.   His appointment as Chairman took effect from 1 December 2025 and shall subsist until the completion of his ten-year tenure at the Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2023.   • Yusuf Ali, PhD. — Vice Chairman   Dr Ali was first appointed as a Commissioner in February 2022. NIGERIA SECURITY CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS,ARRESTED A MAN TODAY FOR STEALING A RAM IN JIGAWA STATE.

                    Today saturday in Jigawa state,the Nigerian Security Civil Defence Corps {NSCDC,said they arrested a 25 year old man for allegedly stealing a ram.Commandant of {NSCDC} in Jigawa state Mr Muhammad Gidado,told NAN in Dutse,that the suspect was arresyed in Yalwawa Quuarters by members of the community.According to the commandant,the ram belonged to one Malam Alasan Dogo and that the suspect was nabbed red handed while dragging the ram away.He said further that ''The suspect has confessed to committing the offence and will soon be charged to court''.
