 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. PRESIDENT OF BURUNDI NKURUNZIZA,SWORN IN SECRETLY TODAY.

        It came as a shock to everybody when the President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza was sworn in today secretly.His inauguration ceremony was really a low key affair.According to several ministries,they were informed about the swearing in ceremony few hours before the ceremony today.It was widely expected that the ceremony would take place on the 26th of August 2015.President Nkurunziza said in his oath ''To dedicate all my forces to the defence of the best interests of the nation,to assure national unity and the cohesion of the Burundian people,social peace and justice''.His third term in office was highly condemned by the people of Burundi,which they termed as unconstitutional by the opposition and it also provoked months of protests.One more photo below.
