A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse. 42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son. Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and the Princeton Police Department. Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside. Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. Yesterday saturday the 14th of November ,my mother in red blouse Chief Mrs Kate Egbe {Nkpulunma} and other women whom have contributed immensely to the development of the Awka Development Union Lagos Branch,were conferred and awarded either as a Diamond mother for the older generation and Golden for the younger generation.The event was organized by the women's wing of the ADU Lagos branch, at the Awka Town Hall,Apple junction,Amuwo Odofin Lagos.The event was put together by their president Mrs Ogochukwu Nwobu {Munachim} to raise money for widows and women who cannot help themselves.The occasion was under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief {Sir} Amobi Nwokafor.The occasion was graced with who is who in the Awka rich society.Just in case you missed the event and you are from Awka state capital based in Lagos and in the east.The pictures below gives you an incite of the event.More photos below.
