TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. Yesterday saturday the 14th of November ,my mother in red blouse Chief Mrs Kate Egbe {Nkpulunma} and other women whom have contributed immensely to the development of the Awka Development Union Lagos Branch,were conferred and awarded either as a Diamond mother for the older generation and Golden for the younger generation.The event was organized by the women's wing of the ADU Lagos branch, at the Awka Town Hall,Apple junction,Amuwo Odofin Lagos.The event was put together by their president Mrs Ogochukwu Nwobu {Munachim} to raise money for widows and women who cannot help themselves.The occasion was under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief {Sir} Amobi Nwokafor.The occasion was graced with who is who in the Awka rich society.Just in case you missed the event and you are from Awka state capital based in Lagos and in the east.The pictures below gives you an incite of the event.More photos below.
