 PRESS RELEASE  FG Commends  Diaspora Healthcare Professionals' Medical Missions to Nigeria  The Federal Government has commended efforts by diaspora based Nigerian healthcare professionals to improve healthcare in Nigeria, emphasizing it's crucial support to enhance its sustainability. Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare stated at the gala night of the just concluded Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA)  31st Annual Scientific Convention / 30 years anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. GENERAL TUKUR,ESCAPES ASSASSINATION YESTERDAY IN ZARIA.

                            It was reported today sunday that yesterday saturday according to Col.Sani Usman,Acting Director,Army Public Relations said that some suspected members of a religious group attempted an attack on the convoy of Chief of Army Staff {COAS},Lt-Gen.Tukur Buratai in Zaria.Unconfirmed report said seven persons lost their lives during the incident caused by an Islamic religious sect.In a statement made available to the NAN in Abuja,he said that the group struck in the afternoon when the COAS went to pay homage to the Emir of Zazzau,Alhaji Shehu Idris.He said that the COAS also went to Zaria to attend the passing out parade of 73 Regular Recruits intake of Nigerian Army Depot,Zaria.He said in the statement that the members of the group,wielding dangerous weapons,obstructed the main road with stones and tyres.He said further that the members threw stones and dangerous objects at the convoy of the COAS,nothing that COAS was not hut.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
