 PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MS. ADEDAYO BENJAMIN LANIYI AS DG/CEO OF THE MARYAM BABANGIDA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT President Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Ms. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director-General /Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) and  members of the Governing Council  for an initial term of four (4) years. In a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume the appointment which takes effect from April 18, 2026, is in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023. SUICIDE BOMBERS KILLED UP TO 10 PEOPLE TODAY,IN A BUSY MARKET IN BAUCHI.

                          Today friday,up to ten people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a busy market in a town in northern Nigeria where the jihadist Boko Haram group is waging an insurgency.Boko Haram has been waging an almost seven year campaign in Nigeria's remote north to build an Islamic state.Thousands have been killed and more than two million people displaced by the campaign.There was no immediate claim  of responsibility but all fingers are pointed to the Islamist group,Boko Haram.One more photo below.
