 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. THE NIGERIAN ARMY,INTERCEPTED BOKO HARAM MEMBERS YESTERDAY,AND SEIzED THEIR SUPPLIES.

                  A statement by the spokesman pf the Nigerian Army,Sani Usman said that the troops while on operation at a cattle market yesterday wednesday morning,intercepted the insurgents and seized the supplies.''In continuation of their clearance operations of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in the North East,troops of 212 Tank Battalion,29 Task Force Brigade,early this morning laid an ambush on some Boko Haram elements at a major cattle market in Gwai Mainari around Mainok general area.The ambush party supported by a quick Response Group {QRG},captured a Hilux vehicle containing 8 jerry cans of petroleum,oil and lubricants,large quantity of 7.62mm ammuitions,127mm ammunitions and 4 AK-47 rifles,as well as 5 hand grenades.Some of the terrorists were killed while others escaped with gunshot wounds.It is important to note that more operational strategies are being employed to further flush out the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists wherever they might be hiding in the North East''.One more photos below.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
