 GOVERNOR UZODIMMA CALLS FOR LOVE, UNITY, HIGHLIGHTS PROGRESS IN IMO STATE  In his Easter message delivered after the Holy Eucharist at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish in Omuma, Oru East LGA, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, emphasized the central theme of the Easter season — Love. The Governor called on citizens to extend the spirit of Easter beyond mere celebration, encouraging them to embody love, unity, and compassion in their daily interactions and civic responsibilities. He commended the people of Imo State for their steadfast commitment to these virtues and urged continued efforts to promote a caring and united society. THE NIGERIAN ARMY,INTERCEPTED BOKO HARAM MEMBERS YESTERDAY,AND SEIzED THEIR SUPPLIES.

                  A statement by the spokesman pf the Nigerian Army,Sani Usman said that the troops while on operation at a cattle market yesterday wednesday morning,intercepted the insurgents and seized the supplies.''In continuation of their clearance operations of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in the North East,troops of 212 Tank Battalion,29 Task Force Brigade,early this morning laid an ambush on some Boko Haram elements at a major cattle market in Gwai Mainari around Mainok general area.The ambush party supported by a quick Response Group {QRG},captured a Hilux vehicle containing 8 jerry cans of petroleum,oil and lubricants,large quantity of 7.62mm ammuitions,127mm ammunitions and 4 AK-47 rifles,as well as 5 hand grenades.Some of the terrorists were killed while others escaped with gunshot wounds.It is important to note that more operational strategies are being employed to further flush out the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists wherever they might be hiding in the North East''.One more photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
