CYBERCRIME: NIGERIA POLICE APPREHENDS SUSPECT OVER MICROSOFT 365 CYBERATTACKS The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF–NCCC) has apprehended high-profile internet fraud suspects involved in targeted cyberattacks against the email systems of major corporate organisations through the deployment of phishing links and malicious software. This significant breakthrough followed credible and actionable intelligence received from Microsoft Corporation, United States of America, through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which revealed the use of a sophisticated phishing toolkit known as RaccoonO365. The toolkit was designed to create fraudulent Microsoft login portals aimed at harvesting user credentials and unlawfully accessing the email platforms of corporate, financial, and educational institutions. On Saturday night a day before Easter Musician Yinka Ayefele,was involved in a ghastly accident when one of the trucks conveying musical equipment entered a deep pot hole along Lagos Ibadan expressway and swerved off the road into a deep ditch,killing one of the engineering crew aboard while several others sustained various degree of injuries.The deceased 39 year old Mr Tunde Oduneye was confirmed dead at the University College Hospital {UCH},AROUND 11:00pm on sunday.The Merry Makers band ,according to a release signed by the Publicist of the band,Mr David Ajiboye,had been contracted to perform at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Olu Amore,a Commissioner of Police before the truck conveying the equipment back to Ibandan had the accident shortly after the old toll plaza at Ogere.A visibly shocked leader of the band,Yinka Ayefele,was seen being consoled by sympathizers at the Accident and Emergency ward of the UCH where injured members of the crew were being treated.The deceased's body was interred in his home town of Ijebu Igbo on Sunday evening.He is survived by a wife and a two year old baby.Meanwhile,the band also lost musical equipment worth several millions of naira in the fatal crash.Some of the equipment got damaged beyond repair while some that fell in the swampy area of the crash could not be retrieved.More photos below.
