 A popular content creator has died from surgery complication     Esther Thomas, popularly known as Sunshine, was a Nigerian content creator, skit maker, and brand influencer. She died on Friday, 9 January 2026, after complications from fibroid surgery. She had been complaining of serious stomach pain from late December 2025.     Sunshine was first admitted at Orchid General Hospital in Lagos, where her friends said she was only given pain relief drugs because doctors were on strike. Her condition did not improve, so she was moved to another hospital on 2 January 2026, where tests showed she had a large fibroid and surgery was carried out. She later developed complications and died. After her death, friends blamed Orchid General Hospital online, saying she was neglected and did not receive proper treatment early enough. AN HIPPOPOTAMUS WAS RECENTLY SPOTTED AT A PRIVATE POOL IN SOUTH AFRICA.

                  It's so funny to see an Hippopotamus swimming in a private pool in South Africa.Staff at Ingewela,a private nature reserve in South Africa were shocked to find a hippopotamus cooling off from the heat in the swimming pool.A staff identified as 60 year old Judy,who has worked at Ingwelala for the last 18 months said she has never in her life seen a hippo in a swimming pool.She said ''My partner Robere and other staff gently used the pool brushes to guide the hippo to the steps and it just walked up the steps and wondered off into the bush''.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
