 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. NIGERIA EX-CHIEF OF DEFENSE STAFF ''BADEH'',PLEADED NOT GUILTY TODAY TO FRAUD & OTHER CHARGES IN COURT.

                         Today monday Nigeria's former chief of defense staff,pleaded not guilty to charge of fraud,criminal breach of trust and money laundering involving around 3 billion naira{$15.1 million}.Air Marshall Alex Badeh,who appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja,denied allegations that he used money allocated for Nigeria's air force to buy a mansion and a commercial plot of land,and build a shopping mall.The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said Badeh and a company in 2013,''did use dollar equivalent of the sum of 1.1 billion naira removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase for yourself a mansion'',in Abuja's upmarket Maitama district.Among the other nine charges,all of which were denied by Badeh,were allegations that he and the company used the dollar equivalent of 650 million nara from air force funds to buy ''a commercial plot of land,with a further 1.2 billion naira used for the construction of a shopping mall''.The former defense chief was remanded in custody until his bail application hearing,which will take place on thursday.More photos below.
