 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. EGYPTIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION,CANCELLED THE PROPOSED JANUARY 2017 FRIENDLY MATCH WITH NIGERIA.

Image result for egypt vs nigeria football players                 According to sources,following an alleged disagreement with the Nigerian authorities on match expenses,the Egyptian Football Association has cancelled the proposed January 2017 friendly duel with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.The friendly game was scheduled to be played on January 9,2017 in Dubai as Egypt want to use the duel as preparation for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.It was stated that the Egyotians FA said they would not be able to bear all the expenses for the friendly encounter with Nigeria,and they have gone ahead to fix another friendly encounter with Tunisia at the same time they are supposed to face Nigeria.Sources claimed that the Nigeria Football Federation {NFF} have demanded that the Egyptian FA should bear all their expenses for the friendly match.Mohammed Sanusi who is the Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation {NFF} explained that the NFF has not received any communication on the match from the Egyptians FA.''Well,I haven't been told anything and I don't think any of us has received any information from the Egyptian Football Federation,'' Sanusi explained.Nigeria will not be participating in the 2017 African Cup of Nations billed to take place in Gabon.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
