 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

EGYPTIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION,CANCELLED THE PROPOSED JANUARY 2017 FRIENDLY MATCH WITH NIGERIA.

Image result for egypt vs nigeria football players                 According to sources,following an alleged disagreement with the Nigerian authorities on match expenses,the Egyptian Football Association has cancelled the proposed January 2017 friendly duel with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.The friendly game was scheduled to be played on January 9,2017 in Dubai as Egypt want to use the duel as preparation for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.It was stated that the Egyotians FA said they would not be able to bear all the expenses for the friendly encounter with Nigeria,and they have gone ahead to fix another friendly encounter with Tunisia at the same time they are supposed to face Nigeria.Sources claimed that the Nigeria Football Federation {NFF} have demanded that the Egyptian FA should bear all their expenses for the friendly match.Mohammed Sanusi who is the Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation {NFF} explained that the NFF has not received any communication on the match from the Egyptians FA.''Well,I haven't been told anything and I don't think any of us has received any information from the Egyptian Football Federation,'' Sanusi explained.Nigeria will not be participating in the 2017 African Cup of Nations billed to take place in Gabon.
