NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. According to sources a British woman identified as 28 year old old Narges Ashtari,from Exeter,who set up the Prishan Foundation after she moved to India and built an orphanage for girls and a home for blind children in the eastern state of Odisha.She was sentenced to a year in jail for the killing of a boy who vanished during a picnic.Sources said one of the employees claimed their son diappeared during a picnic and although a body was never found Narges was charged with manslaughter.At an apparently routine court hearing this morning the charity worker was suddenly jailed for one year anf fined 300,000 rupees {£3,500} for the alleged killing.Sources further said she was released on bail and that she is inconsolable but she intends to fight the accusations on appeal.Nawahoo charity turned to another thing.More photos below
