 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. EFCC GRADUATES 331 DETECTIVE CADETS ON FRIDAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing and outdoor                    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC on January 13,2017 graduated 331 detective cadets trained alongside 1498 officers of the Nigerian Air Force at the Ground Training School,Nigerian Air Force Base,Kaduna.The colorful passing out parade climaxed 6 months of rigorous training to equip the officers in becoming anti-graft warriors instilled with discipline and integrity.Speaking at the occasion,the Chief of Air Staff,Air Marshall S.B.Abubkar,who doubles as the Reviewing Officer,congratulated the operatives of the EFCC for their gallantry and brilliance.''I want to congratulate the operatives,I am sure you will find the training useful in your career'' he said.Abubakar,while listing the qualities exhibited by the new operatives of the EFCC said ,''I have been briefed that you demonstrated commitment,hard work and courage during training.These attributes are essential in your career progression''.More photos below.
