  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. NO CAUSE FOR ALARM OVER PRESIDENT BUHARI'S HEALTH-PRESIDENCY.

Image result for president buhari                   The Presidency said today thursday that ther is no cause for apprehension over the health of President Muhammadu Buhari.Thr Presidency said this in a press statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Pubicity,Garba Shehu today.He assured the good people of Nigeria that,despite the insinuation of a number of media organisations of a number of media organisations,there is no need for anxiety.''President Buhari's absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday,April 26,was a last minute decision; otherwise,the cabinet and the public might have been alerted in advance.As eager as he is to be up and about,the President's doctors have advised on his taking things slowly,as he fully recovers from the long period of treatment in the United Kingdom some weeks ago.President Buhari himself,on his return to the country,made Nigerians aware of the state of his health while he was in London.Full recovery is sometimes a slow process,requiring periods of rest and relaxation,as the Minister for Information,Lai Mohammed,intimated in his press briefing after the FEC meeting on Wednesday.'' he said.Shehu also said: ''Despite his lack of visibility,Nigerians should rest assured that President Buhari has not abdicated his roles as Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria''.According to him,the President receives daily briefing on the activities of government,and confers regularly with his Vice President,Professor Yemi Osinbajo,in which he has been spending the majority of his time recently,has a fully equipped office.''God is the giver of life and health.We are grateful that He has seen our President through the worst period of his conalescence in London.We are thankful that the President has passed a number of benchmarks already.We pray that God continues to see him through this period of recuperatio.'' he said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
