 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT TINUBU'S RETURN TO NIGERIA President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully engaged in Nigeria's governance even though he is away in Europe. His absence remains temporary and in line with the communicated timeframe of approximately two weeks.   The President left Paris for London at the weekend and has maintained constant communication with key government officials, overseeing critical national matters, including directives to security chiefs to address emerging threats in some parts of the country.  His return to Abuja and the resumption of duties at Aso Villa will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday.   The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership.  We appreciate the public’s concern and assure all Nigerians that governance proceeds without interruption.   Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the Preside...

AMBODE APPOINTS NEW GENERAL MANAGER FOR THE LAGOS ASSETS MANAGEMENT AGENCY,TODAY.

Image result for ambode             The Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the appointment of Mr Oladeji Williams as the new General Manager,Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency {LASIAMA} as part of efforts to revamp and rejuvenate public infrastructure management and maintenance in the State.Until his recent appointment,Mr Oladeji Williams was the Special Assistant to the Governor on Energy and a team member of the Policy Development,Conceptualization,Coordination,and Implementation of the Light up Lagos Initiative.Mr Oladeji is a well-rounded professional and skilled administrator with cognate working experience spanning over fifteen {15} years spent working as a project manager in the United States of America and in Nigeria; he worked at management level within the Lagos State Government and also served as a consultant to various State governments in Nigeria.He is a graduate of Franklin University,United States of America with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Global Issues.He also holds professional Certificates in Project Management and International Facility Management.The Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency {formerly Office of the Facility Management and Maintenance {OFMM} is charged with the tasks of ensuring proper management and maintenance of all Lagos State assets and infrastructure.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
