 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. FAYOSE INAUGURATES OLOYE AS THE NEW CHAIRMAN OF EKITI COUNCIL OF OBAS.{PHOTOS}.

            The need for the royal fathers in Ekiti State to ensure sustainability of current peace enjoying in the State has again been stressed.
Governor Ayodele Fayose made the remarks during the inauguration of Oba Michael Ademolaju as the new chairman of Ekiti Council of Obas held at the government house in Ado.
He advised the new chairman to see his post as an opportunity to serve Ekiti people, hence the need for him to build on the already laid foundation by his predecessors.
The governor promised to support the agenda of the new chairman and other Obas for the development of the state.
He called on Oba Ademolaju to use his wealth of experience to move the state forward.
Mr Fayose also called on Ekiti people to rally round his government and pledged to fulfill his mandate within the available resources.
He added that financial challenges confronting the state is due to poor management of the state finances by immediate past administration.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Oluwole Ademolaju thanked the Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve in the capacity of chairman Council of Obas in the state.
He assured the Governor and Ekiti people not to disappoint them. Earlier, the Commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Ayodeji Alabi called on the new chairman to join Governor Ayodele Fayose to actualise it's 6 point transformation agenda.More photos below.
