NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A Jumia delivery guy was murdered in a place where he went to deliver an item around Ada George road.The three suspects who allegedly murdered the delivery man because of 2 iPhones in Port Harcourt.According to sources,the three suspects,two males,and a female,had allegedly ordered for the phone to be delivered to them and when the delivery man took the items to them,he was murdered,tied up and thrown into a soak-away pit.Neighbours of the suspects had noticed their suspicious movements and alerted police officers who stormed the residence and arrested them.During interrogation,they allegedly confessed to the crime and took the police to the septic tank at the house located at Ada George area of the Garden City where the body of the delivery man was recovered.The delivery man had gone missing on saturday,Mach 25,2017,after he had gone to make the delivery of the phones to the suspects and had not been seen until his corpse was recovered by the police.More photos below.
