 BREAKING NEWS ANAMBRA POLICE RECORD FURTHER BREAKTHROUGH IN OGIDI, RECOVER MORE ARMS In continuation of an earlier operation by Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, which led to the arrest of three suspects and recovery of arms in Ogidi on 21st March 2026, the Anambra State Police Command has recorded further breakthrough following sustained investigation and interrogation. The Operatives made additional progress with the arrest of the suspected ringleader of the syndicate, one Chukwuka Anene ‘M’, aged 46 years, who confessed to being the armourer of the gang. The suspect subsequently led Police operatives to the gang’s hideout in Ogidi, where the following items were recovered: two pump-action guns, two locally made Beretta pistols, five rounds of 9mm ammunition, seven live cartridges, a beret linked to a cult group, and body armour. The Command has intensified efforts to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang, while investigations remain ongoing. Further developm...

CP LAGOS DISMISSED THE 3 POLICEMEN WHO SPRAYED TEAR-GAS AT OJOTA.#PRESS RELEASE.


Image result for cp lagos state edgal          In keeping with its promise to regularly update Lagosians about the activities of the Command, the Lagos State Police Command, wishes to inform members of the public that the Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal has dismissed the three police men, comprising of an inspector and two sergeants, who were alleged to have sprayed tear-gas on Mr. Ademuwagun Temitope Solomon which provoked severe asthmatic crisis in him. The incident took place at Chinese town, Ojota area of Lagos state.
The men whose names and service numbers are: (1) 220957 Inspector Momoh Sulaiman, (2) 429659 Sgt. Emmanuel Monday and (3) 434246 Sgt. Adamu Usman, were tried in an orderly room which commenced yesterday 09/06/2018 and were found guilty as charged. They were therefore dismissed and de-kitted accordingly. However, the dismissal proceeding of Inspector Momoh Sulaiman has been forwarded to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 for approval.
Similarly the Command wishes to use this medium to release its half year disciplinary record for the period spanning from January to June, 2018. The officers were tried in a properly constituted orderly room and were found guilty of various offences against discipline which earned them appropriate punishments depending on the charges against them.

The Commissioner of Police, said that this would serve as a deterrent to other police men wishing to toe the path of infamy, that the Nigeria Police under the watch of the Inspector General of Police, have no room for them. He warned all serving police officers to be professional at all times in the discharge of their duties and shun corrupt practices.
