 Four North Carolina utility workers were tragically killed when a dump truck driver drove through a stop sign and crashed into a crew of workers. This heartbreaking incident occurred at 1:23 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in Eden, North Carolina. According to reports, a City of Eden dump truck driven by 66-year-old Michael Vernon ran a stop sign at the intersection of Carroll and Church Street in Eden. After blowing through the intersection, Vernon struck 6 utility workers with Duke Energy who were working on power lines for Carolina Power and Signalization. The dump truck then struck an occupied bucket truck before going off the road into a ditch. Four of the utility workers were sadly pronounced deceased on the scene while 2 others were life-flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.        FIFA has confirmed that Nigeria will not be banned, following the intervention of the federal government.
This was disclosed by the former media officer of the Super Eagles, Colin Udoh, via his verified Twitter page.
”FIFA confirmed that Nigeria escaped ban after Federal Government recognised and affirmed @PinnickAmaju as legitimate and sole president of @thenff,” Udoh wrote.
Earlier today, Laolu Akande, the media aide to vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, revealed that the FG had contacted the world football governing body.In their correspondence, they told FIFA that Amaju Pinnick was the recognized president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
