Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.       The Nigerian Army football team, also known as Green Beret football team on Saturday, 8 September 2018 has been ranked a new member of Nigeria National League.
The Green Beret football team qualified for national league competitions in a nationwide league one, division one championship qualify match against Olisa football team of Ogun State on Saturday 8 September 2018, at the Ilorin Township Stadium, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The Nigerian Army Green Beret Team qualified for national league competitions when they won Olisa football team of Ogun State with a 5-4 penalty shoot-out score. The trophy of the competition has since been handed over to the Nigerian Army Headquarters ( AHQs ) Abuja.
The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen Okwudili Fidelis Azinta received the team in the Division's new Auditorium, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo- Ibadan when members of the team paid him a courtesy call at Headquarters 2 Division. The General Officer Commanding encouraged the team to continue to be hardworking and win more trophy for the Nigerian Army.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
