FIRST IMPORTED EBOLA CASE: NIGERIA EVACUATES INDEX CASE TO SWITZERLAND AS CONTAINMENT MEASURES CONTINUE The Nigeria’s confirmed Ebola index case has been medically evacuated from Abuja to Switzerland, following approval by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate. The forty-two-year-old patient, whose case marked Nigeria’s first imported Ebola virus disease case, was transferred alongside her spouse, who has remained asymptomatic. In a statement posted on his X handle, Professor Pate said the patient was clinically much improved, stable, conscious and able to communicate, with laboratory test results approaching baseline levels. However, the Minister cautioned that the patient’s clinical improvement does not necessarily mean she is no longer infectious, stressing that strict public health protocols remain in place. He commended the clinical teams for providing quality care and public health personnel for ensuring that the evacuation was c...

Mother of new born baby realised she left her baby at the departure waiting hall after aircraft had taken off at the Saudi Arabia International Airport. In rare cases, mostly a major emergency, flights are generally cleared to return to airports to collect a forgotten item. A strange emergency case ensued at Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz International Airport after a woman forgot hernew born baby at the airport.
According to Gulf News, despite being naturally connected to a baby as a mother, the unidentified woman boarded the Saudi Arabian Airlines flight without a worry in the world. She only realised she had left her baby at the departure waiting hall after the aircraft had taken off from the airport. On suddenly realising her blunder, she informed the cabin crew she had forgotten her baby at the terminal forcing the pilot to turn Flight SV832 from Saudi Arabia’s capital city, Jeddah, to Kuala Lumpur back.
The incident shocked not only the crew but also other passengers and Air Traffic Control (ATC) operators. The video of the pilot requesting ATC operators to return to the airport has since gone viral on social media with many wondering just how does one forget her baby. “This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing,” the pilot can be heard in the video. The ATC executives spent several minutes figuring out the protocol to be observed during such incidents. “Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us!” says one of the ATC operators. The woman was finally reunited with her baby at the airport.

According to the Araba of Osogboland Chief Yemi Elebuibon, debunk the rumors that the new Ooni will eat the heart of the late Ooni of Ife as custom demands,so he cleared the air when he recently said that ''The heart of the late king would not be fed to the next Ooni. The eating of the heart of a departed King by an incoming one belonged to the past.It no longer exists.People still make this insinuation because many are barred from witnessing the burial of a king. What the incoming king will eat is the heart of an animal and not that of a human.Nobody will be buried with the Ooni.Nobody would be killed for any form o sacrifice''.Thank God he clarified the part that no one will be buried with the Ooni, because the rumors going round is that the Sarun, otherwise known as Abobakun,is on the run,to escape being buried with the late Ooni of Ife.Lowa Adimula of Ife,Oba Joseph Ijaodola, who is the Head o...
