 Court Grants Buhari's Aviation Minister Sirika, Daughter, Two Others N100m Bail Each A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted ₦100m bail each to a former Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, his daughter and two others. They are being tried over an alleged fraud to the tune of ₦2.7bn. According to the court, they are also to provide two sureties who must have landed properties in Abuja. The sureties, the court said, must also be responsible citizens. The sureties must depose to an affidavit of means. The court also restricted the defendants from traveling abroad without its permission. Justice Oriji ordered that the defendants should be remanded in prison custody if they failed to meet their bail conditions. The sureties must own landed properties within the FCT with valid titles. The trial will commence on the 10th, 11th and 20th of June. Details Shortly…

      Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli who shared a video two hours ago today,on how she met two video CD hawkers who is selling movies that are being shown in the cinemas and yet to be released to the market.From the video,the two men claimed that they downloaded it from Netflix.One of the movie I can see from the video is the movie 'Chief Daddy',even when she asked the CD Vendor where he got the cd's from he claimed the movie is out,she was like no the movie is not out and only shown in the cinemas,before another vendor jumped in to say ,''where did you upload it,did you upload it on the internet or Netflix?',and she was like you got it from Netflix?.She was really sad when she was driving off.A lot of people should put it in mind that before you use anybody's intellectual property you must take permission,and if the person expressly decline,please don't go ahead to use their work.Movie producers are becoming frustrated because they invest so much money in making a movie and gain nothing and even lose their capital,that is not encouraging.Omoni Oboli captioned the video ''HELP!!!  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
