 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration.        A former Federal lawmaker and immediate past Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes, Hon. Kayode Oladele will deliver the keynote address at this year’s National Crimewatch Award coming up on December 1, 2019 at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  LCCI Building, 10 Nurudeen Olowopopo Drive Behind MKO Garden, Alausa Secretariat. Ikeja. The theme of the event is :  “Celebrating The Military  in Sustaining Peace and Stability in Nigeria”. Those to be honored at the occasion include the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen.Tukur Buratai , Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar and Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Ibot -Ete Ibas.
Hon. Oladele will also be honored with a Special Recognition  for  his  Immense contributions  to the fight against terrorism financing and financial crimes in Nigeria.
