 24th April 2025 PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE PRESENT LETTERS OF COMMENDATION TO OPERATIVES OF CP-SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM, AND THE WIDELY CELEBRATED TRAFFIC OFFICER W/CPL NWOKOLO MERCY UCHE Today 24th April 2025, the Commissioner of Police Delta State, to the surprise of senior officers of the command, presented commendation certificates to sixteen (16) officers of the command in recognition of their unwavering dedication, exceptional performance, and outstanding services in the discharge of their duties. Top on the list was ASP Julius Robinson who is the Commander CP-Special Assignment Team of Delta State Command. ASP Julius Robinson and his team were posted and deployed to Ughelli in the month of April 2024 by the Commissioner of Police Delta state with a mandate to bring to a halt the activities of kidnappers and armed robbers in Ughellli,  Warri, Sapele, Oghara and other parts of the state. LASG COMMENCES REPAIRS OF OJOTA INTERCHANGE OF KUDIRAT ABIOLA JUNCTION.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The perennial traffic on Ikorodu road occasioned by the failed portions between Ojota Interchange and Kudirat Abiola Junction will soon be history as the Lagos State Government has mobilised construction giant, Julius Berger to fix the road.
The Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Aramide Adeyoye, who made this known today, said the stretch of that road both inward and outward Lagos had defied palliative measures over time, adding that the time is ripe to address all the challenges once and for all to bring succour to the motoring public.
She sought the understanding of road users during the renovation work as traffic will slow down along the affected corridor, noting that effective traffic management measures have been put in place to reduce congestion to the barest minimum.
While appealing for the support and cooperation of general public and road users for any inconvenience the project might cause, Adeyoye disclosed that traffic signs and officers have been deployed to ensure smooth flow of traffic along the axis.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
