 MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT, BALARABE ABBAS LAWAL, RECEIVES KOGO FOREST RESERVE AS NIGERIA'S NEWEST NATIONAL PARK Kogo Forest Reserve has officially become Nigeria's newest national park, marking a significant milestone in the country's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development under the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, received the reserve from Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, with the National Park Service providing necessary resources, including vehicles, equipment, and advanced technologies, to ensure its long-term protection. This move is expected to boost conservation efforts and promote sustainable development in the region, preserving Nigeria's natural heritage and contributing to global conservation efforts.      On the 21/2/2020 at about 3:27pm,following a tip off ,Police detectives attached to B' Division Awka arrested one Emmanuel Bassey 'm' aged 38years of Abi LGA of Cross Rivers State but resides at Ngozika Housing Estates,Awka.
2. Suspect allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge against the order of nature with over Six Small boys of between 10 and 14 years on different occasions.
3. Suspect has equally made a voluntary confessional statement to the police and blamed his act on demons.
4. Meanwhile,scene of crime was visited by Police detectives and Six victims ,all boys were taken to the hospital for medical examination.
5. Consequently,the Commissioner of Police *CP John B. Abang,fdc* has ordered for immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal investigation Department(CID)for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution,please.
