 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.      CWGC honour the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars.
Reflecting on the past 50 years as President, The Duke said:
“It has been, and continues to be, my privilege and honour to serve as President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
“I commend the vital work of the CWGC, through which the sacrifice of these brave men and women will be remembered for generations to come.”
The Duke of Kent’s personal milestone coincides with the CWGC’s 700th meeting of its board of Commissioners. Over the course of those meetings, ground-breaking decisions were taken by people like Winston Churchill and Rudyard Kipling, which shaped remembrance of the war dead.More photos below.
