 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. LASG ANNOUNCES POSTPONEMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE EXAMINATION.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Lagos State Government, through the State Examinations Board, has announced the indefinite postponement of the Public Service Examination earlier scheduled to hold from Tuesday, 7th April to Tuesday, 14th April, 2020.
According to a statement signed and issued by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, the postponement was a sequel to the Head of Service Circulars: CIR/HOS/’20/Vol. 1/037 dated 20th March, 2020 on curtailing the spread of COVID-19 in Alausa Secretariat and other Government Establishments.
Gbadegesin added that information on the suspension was also contained in “CIR/HOS/’20/Vol. 1/038 dated 20th March, 2020 on Postponement of the Year 2020 Promotion Exercise and Suspension of State Programmes occasioned by the need to take precautionary measures against the Pandemic Corona Virus (COVID 19)”.
He reiterated that as soon as the restriction order by Federal and State Governments are lifted and approval is obtained from the appropriate authorities, the new dates would be duly communicated.
