 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.       President Muhammadu Buhari felicitates very warmly with the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on the joyous occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.
The President joins the family, friends, associates, indigenes of Kwara State in general and IIorin Emirate in particular, in celebrating the milestone with the eminent monarch.
President Buhari affirms that the former Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal has remained a strong pillar of support to all governments since he assumed the throne of his forefathers in 1995 as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.
The President enjoins the Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council to continue to deploy his energies towards the furtherance of peace, unity and development of not only Kwara State but the entire nation.
He prays God Almighty to grant the octogenarian foremost traditional ruler more years of worthy service to his people and humanity in good health.
