 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.       President Muhammadu Buhari felicitates very warmly with the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on the joyous occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.
The President joins the family, friends, associates, indigenes of Kwara State in general and IIorin Emirate in particular, in celebrating the milestone with the eminent monarch.
President Buhari affirms that the former Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal has remained a strong pillar of support to all governments since he assumed the throne of his forefathers in 1995 as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.
The President enjoins the Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council to continue to deploy his energies towards the furtherance of peace, unity and development of not only Kwara State but the entire nation.
He prays God Almighty to grant the octogenarian foremost traditional ruler more years of worthy service to his people and humanity in good health.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
