 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has ordered the suspension of a traditional chief, Ortar Agwa Mnyange Kwahar in Buruku Local Government Area of the state.
Also, the governor directed the suspension of all youth groups and any of their activities in Yemakem.
The State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Ngunan Adingi stated this in a statement she issued and made available to newsmen on Saturday.
Mrs Adingi said that the suspension of the chief followed the crisis in Mbatyough Council Ward, Mbagen in the council area which led to the burning down of a widow, Mrs Shaade Nyihemba.
The widow who was a nurse by profession, according to an earlier report was burnt down when some firebugs set her house on fire a few weeks ago and her death raised suspicion among residents in the community.

The Information Commissioner noted that governor Samuel Ortom who on Friday held a meeting with the traditional rulers and elders from the area among them are; the Tor Jemgbagh, HRH Chief Afatyo Ajoko, Ter Buruku HRH Moses Hanior and Mue Ter HRH Tivfa Addingi directed the suspension of the traditional chiefs to pave the way for investigation into his (the chief) role in the crisis in his domain...
