Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. MAN BAGS THREE MONTHS IMPRISONMENT FOR FRAUD.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

A Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, Abuja presided over by Justice Peter Affen on March 25, 2021 sentenced one Ogbelegba Emmanuel Abel to three months imprisonment for offences bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and internet fraud.
The convict was arrested on February 25, 2020 in his apartment in Maitama, Abuja following reports received by the Commission on his suspicious activities and questionable lifestyle.
Upon conclusion of investigation, the convict was arraigned in Court on one count charge of obtaining by false pretense.
He pleaded ‘guilty’ to the charge preferred against him.
Consequently, the court convicted and sentenced him to 3 months imprisonment with an option of fine of One Hundred Thousand Naira.
The Court also ordered the convict to restitute his victim the sum of $150 USD and forfeit his smartphone to the Federal Government.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours.
