 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. *Police Arrested Two Suspected Cultist, Recover Firearms In Enugu*

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have seized two male criminal suspects for the illegal possession of guns and involvement in cultism.

Two pistols with bullets of various calibers and one vehicle were reclaimed from the suspects.

In a breakdown of the operational breakthrough by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, " On 08/04/2021 at about 0300hrs, operatives of the Command connected to Anti- Cultism Squad, apprehended one Chijioke Ijomanta (a. k. a CJ) aged 34 and Benjamin Mela aged 30, both residing at Isiagu Ugwuaji Community in Enugu South L. G. A. and claimed members of Vikings Confraternity cult group. Their detentions, which are due to forecasts obtained in an ongoing inquiry, led to the retrieval of one Pump Action gun.

" Similarly, on 04/04/2021 at about 0730hrs, the same Police Operatives of the Command, searched a house at Nwakanwa Street in Independence Layout, Enugu and recovered one (1) English- made Berretta gun with breech number: AO7815Z and the following rounds of different calibers of live ammunition: thirteen (13) rounds of. 9mm, nineteen (19) rounds of 7. 65, thirty- six (36) rounds of. 25mm special bullet and ten (10) rounds of live cartridges. The recovery was due to the confessional declaration of a suspect early arrested and is being analyzed in the case of illegal ownership of a firearm and cultism.

Also, Police Operatives connected to 9th Mile Police Division of the Command, on 01/04/2021 at about 2150hrs, recovered one (1) Toyota Hummer Commercial Bus, belonging to Onitsha South Plus Transport Company, in Obioma Community of Udi L. G. A. The vehicle was regained following the prompt reaction of the detectives to a report made by the motorist on the same date at about 2120hrs, that armed bandits seized the vehicle from him at Enugu/Onitsha Expressway Bypass, 9th Mile.

The criminals abandoned the vehicle and fled away, due to severe pressure made by the operatives to arrest them and regain the vehicle.
