Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said. Atiku, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, said Nigerians were entitled to demand answers from the APC-led government over rising living costs, poverty, insecurity and questions surrounding public expenditure. Alleged Forgery of Medical Report: EFCC Presents First Witness against Fani-Kayode

The EFCC on February 23, 2022 presented its first witness against Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, who is standing trial before Justice O.O. Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos for offences bordering on use of false documents, use of fabricated evidence, procuring execution of documents by false pretence, and fabricating evidence. 

Fani-Kayode who is also being prosecuted by the EFCC for an alleged N4.9billion fraud before Justice Daniel Osiagor of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, is facing 12 counts before Justice Abike-Fadipe, brought against him by the EFCC, following his alleged use of forged medical report(s), which he tendered at the Federal High Court to justify his absence in Court.
