 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Former Bauchi Deputy Director of Lands Jailed for Land Scam

Justice Abubarka Muazu of Bauchi State High Court, on February 21, 2022 convicted and sentenced a former Deputy Director of Planning in Bauchi State Ministry of Land and Survey, Ibrahim Aliyu to twenty seven months imprisonment for obtaining money by false pretences and cheating. He was convicted following a two- count charge brought against him by the Gombe Zonal Command of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. 

Aliyu sometime in May 2015 dishonestly induced one Mustapha Bala to deliver to him the sum of One Million, One Hundred Thousand Naira (N1, 100,000) for sale of a plot of land situated at BSADP Quarters, Bauchi which belonged to His Royal Highness, Usman Bilyaminu Usman, the Emir of Dass, without his consent.

He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced accordingly to three months with option of N50,000.00. (Fifty Thousand Naira only) fine on count one and two years imprisonment with option of N100,000 fine (One Hundred Thousand Naira) only fine on count two.
