 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. A young man from Borno, Shettima becomes Associate Professor of Engineering in A.B.U Zaria.

Laminu Shettima Kuburi, a young man hails from Kukawa local government, Northern Borno has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. 

Kuburi is Assistant Dean, Faculty of Engineering in the University. 

Kuburi is one of the best lecturers in the University.

Late Mohammed Shettima Kuburi was born into a Royal family In Kukawa (Kukawa Town) in the year 1940. He was born to the family of late Shehu Laminu Shettima Kuburibe who was a renown Islamic scholar.

Shettima Kuburi was one of the most educated personality in the history of Kanum-Borno of his time.He was among the early set that were sponsored for education abroad.

Shettima Kuburi, upon his return home after his successful academic career obtained a new name from his beloved community members which is (INTERNATIONAL).

He worked for the Federal Radio Co-operation Nigeria which was the largest Radio Station in west Africa. Kuburi was one of the first KANURI Broadcaster .He was the only journalist that went on to write-plays that were produced in in the country, in theaters and on Radio.

In the 70's he became the only hope for the uneducated members of his community, he makes a formal application to a court for a writ, judicial action on-behalf of his people.

As Educationalist, his bloodline became the most educated family in Borno state, so far.

Late Kuburi, left behind 22 Children specialising in many fields including-

-Medical Doctors

-Public administrators 

-Lecturer

-Geographer 

-Journalist

-Legal Practitioners

-Engineers 

-Fresh graduates

-Under Graduates

As well as Elementary Student.

He died on 19th September,2009.
