 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. CP ECHENG URGES CITIZENS TO SHUN JUNGLE JUSTICE

_as operatives rescue 3 armed robbery suspects_

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra Command, *CP Echeng Echeng* calls on *Ndi-Anambra* to refrain from engaging in jungle justice. The *CP* made this call today Tuesday 8/3/2022 following an attempt by an angry mob to set three(3) alleged armed robbery suspects on fire. The timely arrival and intervention of some police operatives at the scene saved the suspects from being lynched.

The suspects: *Ifeanyi Nsiegbunam ‘M’ 23years, Chinemelum Nwafor ‘M’ 27years, Nnamdi Nwakwesili ‘M’ 40yrs,* were alleged to have on 05/03/2022 at about 10am, dispossessed a student of *Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University*, Igbariam of her belongings. Incriminating items found and recovered from the suspects include: one locally made single barrel pistol, a white coloured dagger, a big saw, a big hammer, a black and brown coloured lady's bag, an Infinix phone, a black Panasonic phone and three(3) phone chargers.

The *CP* who was full of thanks to the public for the arrest of the three suspects and for their continuous assistance to the Police in the fight against crimes in the State, however, enjoins them to always follow the due process by handing over arrested suspects to the Police. He notes that this would afford the Police opportunity to conduct appropriate investigation and prosecution of suspects and ensure justice.             

Meanwhile, the *CP* assures that the three rescued suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
