 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. JIGAWA STATE SCHOLARSHIPS IN COLLABORATION WITH AL- ISTIQAMA UNIVERSITY SUMAILA.

Jigawa state government through the ministry of health in collaboration with Al-istiqama university, Sumaila Kano state, has secured free education admission to the good indigene of the state for the degree programme on nursing services (B.Sc Nursing) for the year 2022/2023 academic seasion in the above mentioned institution.

Eligibility criteria

1. Candidate must be indigene of Jigawa state.
2.Candidate must not have less than 160 points on this 2022 UTME (JAMB).
3. Candidate must have at least 5 credit on basic science causes which include: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in SSCE/GCE exam for not more than 2 settings.

Mode of application

1. Handwritten application by the applicant addressed to the permanent secretary Jigawa state ministry of health.
2. UTME result
3. SSCE result
4. Birth certificate/Declaration of age.
5. Indigene certificate
6. 2 recent passport photograph

All these listed document should submitted to the office of permanent secretary Jigawa state ministry of health.
