 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. HEADS OF SECURITY AGENCIES AND PARA MILITARY ORGANIZATIONS MEETS IN HQ 2 DIVISION NA IBADAN


The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Maj Gen Aminu Chinade today 16 November 2022 hosted all Heads of Security  and Para Military Agencies in Oyo State to brainstorm on the rising wave of criminality in Ibadan and environs as well as kidnappings on the Lagos- Ibadan Express Road.

In his opening remarks, Gen Chinade called for more concerted efforts from all and sundry to tackle the recent rise in criminality and advocated for more synergy to stop this dastardly acts on the Lagos- Ibadan Express Road by this undesirable elements. Also, the GOC solicited for better ideas in  information sharing and monitoring among the security agencies. This the GOC believes will put the security agencies ahead in planning robust ways of countering the nefarious activities of this hoodlums.

The meeting is the first in the series as it generated frank discussions from all and an agreement that such meetings should  regularly hold to address issues that boarder on security speedily. 

In attendance includes- the Commander 671 Nigerian Air Force  Detachment, the Commissioner of Police Oyo State, Director State Services and other Heads of Security Agencies in Oyo State.
