 Asphalt Laying Begins on Alagbole-Akute Road in Ogun State Work has officially commenced on the laying of asphalt along the Alagbole-Akute Road in Ifo Constituency II, Ogun State. The development, which began today, marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and ease transportation within the area. Residents have expressed optimism that the project will enhance mobility, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities along the corridor. Oyo State Transport Union Member Electrocuted While Destroying Campaign Billboard Of Accord Party Gov Candidate In Oyo

A middle-aged man whose name has not been revealed has been electrocuted while destroying a campaign billboard of Adebayo Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Adelabu is the governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Oyo State.

It was gathered that the victim, identified as a member of the Park Management System (PMS), had climbed a pole at the Challenge area in Ibadan on Friday without knowing that the billboard was connected to a live wire close to it.

While the victim was fighting for his life, his colleagues fled the scene of the incident before the arrival of police officers.

A video of the incident which has gone viral, showed the victim lying on the ground while passersby watched his lifeless body.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
