 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. SOUTH AFRICA: THEFT OF MOTOR BIKEE ACROSS THE NELSON MANDELA BAY METRO TRIGGER A CONCERN BY POLICE AS FOUR MOTOR BIKES WERR STOLEN SINCE SATURDAY. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE.

The theft of motor bikes across the Nelson Mandela Bay metro has once again triggered a concern for police as four motor bikes/cycles were stolen since Saturday, 21 November 2022. 

On Friday evening, 25 November 2022 at about 20:40, SAPS Cookhouse Crime Prevention members made a significant breakthrough when they arrested two suspects on the NU 10 about 25km outside Cookhouse. It is alleged that the members received information of a white bakkie traveling from Gqeberha towards Cookhouse, allegedly in possession of suspected stolen motor bikes. The members waited for the vehicle and as soon as it was spotted, a chase ensued.  They succeeded in stopping the fleeing vehicle and on searching the vehicle, they found disassembled motorbike parts. These parts were hidden underneath bags of potatoes and chip packets. Other parts including the wheels and petrol tanks were found concealed in a mattress as well as in the base of the mattress.
